Quin-Sea Fisheries Limited, a leading seafood processor in Newfoundland and Labrador, is seeking a Payroll Clerk to join their team in St. John’s. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role within a growing organization. Quin-Sea Fisheries is committed to the seafood industry and making investments to ensure they build strong relationships within international markets to position themselves as a global leader.

Reporting to the Office Manager, the Payroll Clerk will be responsible for the completion of weekly fisher payroll, including:
• Interaction with fishers to obtain required information
• Input of source documents
• Processing and issuing payroll
• Reconciliation of various accounts
• Maintaining appropriate payroll files
• Respond to various inquiries by phone and email
• As a team member performing other related duties as assigned

We are seeking a confident, hard-working, and motivated individual who thrives in a busy office environment. You have 3-5 years of payroll and basic accounting experience. A post secondary education in business or a related discipline would be a definite asset. You are an exceptional communicator with strong attention to detail and you work well within a team environment, or independently on assigned tasks. You have exceptional technology skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Power Point and Outlook. Experience using SAP would also be considered an asset for this role. You enjoy contributing to the growth of an organization, display superior judgement with regard to confidentiality and professional ethics, and show pride in representing your company both internally and externally.
