Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the Project Manager takes a hands-on approach to managing innovative and one of a kind projects from design to installation. You’ll work with senior leadership to refine the scope of projects, create a detailed work plan, determine the resources required, as well as developing a budget and schedule. Once project parameters have been determined, you’ll play a key role in selecting contractors and suppliers, and ensuring materials are ordered in time for successful implementation. Along with collaborating with the operations team, external contractors and consultants, as well as city officials to ensure quality of work meets project standards and is completed on time, you’ll also be responsible for overseeing installation on site at various airport locations throughout the country. While travel is required, the frequency and duration is dependent on project requirements and is planned well in advance.

As the ideal candidate you have more than 5 years experience managing projects related to mechanical, chemical, industrial or electrical industries as well as a professional Engineering designation, Engineer in Training designation or a post-secondary degree in the engineering field. You have a proven ability to identify critical path elements and key project milestones while executing project plans. You’re a team player who has demonstrated ability to build relationships with a variety of stakeholders leveraging a communication style that engages a varied audience. You also have a working knowledge of Excel, Word, Power Point, MS Microsoft Project or other scheduling software, and a PMP designation would be considered an asset.

By joining Inland Technologies, you will be part of a growing organization that is making a difference in the environment one airport at a time. Since the beginning, they have been built on innovation and today they pride themselves on allowing their staff to take chances on new ideas in a supportive environment. You’ll be given the opportunity to work on challenging, diverse mechanical and piping projects with the added benefit to see your projects come to life. You’ll be able to grow professionally and develop your skills as well as grow with the company to lead larger more creative projects that have a direct impact on the business. In exchange for the knowledge and experience you bring, you will be rewarded with a comprehensive compensation package.
