On their behalf, we are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Business Analyst to join their team in St. John’s, NL. As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing data, identifying trends, and making recommendations to improve their business processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, develop solutions, and communicate findings to stakeholders.


The Business Analyst will facilitate the development of moderate to complex systems and maintenance of existing business systems, processes and procedures including the introduction of new products and services. You will also play a key role in helping prepare the business for change management.


Responsibilities Include:


• Collect and analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
• Acts as an information conduit between the business and IT, translating business needs into a language their IT or project team can understand.
• Gather and develop business requirements.
• Define business cases for business requests.
• Work with stakeholders to define project scope and objectives.
• Develop requests for proposals.
• Assist the business in the current and future state business process development.
• Assist with testing – test strategy, tests cases and scripts, functional, integration and UAT.
• Assist and deliver training to business users.

 

Desired Skills and Qualifications:


• University degree or diploma in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science or related field. Equivalent combination of work experience and post secondary education considered.
• Experience in business analysis, including all aspects of requirements gathering, process definition, testing and business change management.
• Collaborate effectively with a cross-functional team as well the ability to work on your own and show initiative and innovation.
• Facilitation skills to deliver training to business users.
• Functional knowledge of ERP systems and planning, budgeting, and forecasting systems would be an asset.
• Proven analytical and detail-oriented capabilities.
• Safety-oriented attitude.
