Merida Recruitment Solutions is leading recruitment for Paramount Power Systems and their sister company Ronnie’s Generator Service, a trusted North American leader in the engineering, design, and service of residential, industrial, and commercial emergency standby power systems. Since their inception over 40 years ago, they have grown to a team of over 60. They also continues to be a proudly family-owned, third generation run company that services the Greater Toronto Area and throughout the province and is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to join their growing team.

As a Field Service technician, you will be reporting to the Technical Advisor. You will primarily be responsible for performing routine generator maintenance and minor repairs as well as assisting more senior technicians with complex generator services.

Responsibilities

Generator Maintenance and Repairs

  • Setup and tear down of equipment required for performing maintenance, including building load and full capacity tests.
  • Visually inspect generators for any leaks or other issues, checking fuel lines and changing oil and filters
  • Complete routine tasks in an efficient, safe, and timely manner
  • Complete service work order forms
  • Submit service work information to Service Coordinator

 

Shop and On-Site Work

  • Maintain a clean work environment, both in-house and on client sites
  • Clean up of current day’s work.
  • Help set up the following day’s work.
  • Assist with ongoing shop work.
  • Assist with other ad-hoc tasks as assigned from time to time.

 

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Post-Secondary Education an asset
  • 2 years of experience
  • Mechanically inclined with strong electrical/mechanical skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Demonstrate initiative.
  • Strong spatial awareness
  • Ability to lift heavy
